Sadly, the world isn’t always fun and bright. Sometimes you have to make difficult decisions, even if they break your heart. A few days ago, this 12-year-old boy had to take one like this.
On February 13, a shelter called Xollin found an adorable puppy at its doorstep with a letter from a child. The shelter said on its Facebook page:
“Someone left this dog at the door of the shelter, inside a box, with a stuffed animal and a note.
The note was written by a child and explained that his father always beat the dog and was planning to sell it.
So, in such a desperate state, he left the dog here to save him, writes boredpanda ”
After sharing this story, people from all over the world wanted to help, donate and adopt the pup.

The shelter’s first priority was to check on the pup’s health.
“We have to take the dog to the vet to check his tail, which appears to be fractured.
We also have to remove the parasites and do a review. This means more expense and work for us, but hopefully the dog will be safe.»

They discovered that the 12-year-old boy named Andrés was from the state of Mexico. Not much more information is known about him.
The letter says: “My name is Andrés and I am 12 years old. My mom and I decided to leave it up to you. All this is behind my dad’s back, because he was thinking of selling it.
But he is always punching and kicking the dog. He once kicked him so hard that his tail got hurt. I hope you can help him and take care of him. Here’s a stuffed animal so you don’t forget about me.»
The protector has named the dog René. They are looking for the right family for the pup; they have many options because they have received more than 300 messages with people who want to adopt this precious puppy.
The shelter also mentioned that they would like more people to adopt animals, not just when they go viral. There are millions of abused animals in the world and they all need love and a happy family.
“If everyone opened their heart and home to everyone and not just this dog, all of our animals at the shelter would have been twice adopted by now.
Thanks to the few people who came to the shelter offering their help to protect other animals that suffer mistreatment or are abandoned in our district and surroundings”
