This story is about Daya, a pregnant pit bull, who was found by Animal Control wandering the streets of York, South Carolina.
Daya was taken directly to Halfway There Rescue to give birth at a shelter. But what happened was not that, because the puppies were not delivered because they died in utero!
Daya suffered an emergency following infectious complications. Daya was completely depressed after losing her babies. But when she met an orphaned pup called Raisin, who was found wandering down a road really sick and with an injured eye.
That’s when the shelter reunited the orphaned pup with his grieving mother.
Raisin immediately felt protected as Daya, who was also very happy, showed her love as if it were her own. What a happy ending for the two dogs!
