Dogs are amazing and intelligent animals. Whenever they sense danger, they take action… even if it’s really not necessary.
This is what some actors have understood recently, when they staged a show so realistic that a dog decided to intervene.
An actor named Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy was in an open-air theater production in Turkey, and he had to pretend to be injured.
«The character I was playing was hurt and in intense pain,» he told The Dodo. «He had fallen off his horse and was having trouble breathing.»
His performance was apparently so convincing that at least one audience member thought he was real: a stray dog!
Apparently, the little dog, unfamiliar with the theater, thought that Numan was really hurt and ran to watch him.
When the dog licked the actor’s face, no one could help but «feel touched.»
«I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses,» Numan said. «I was very moved. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I didn’t expect it.»
Viewers loved the moment. A crew member then escorted the dog off stage so that the play could continue, and the stray dog apparently strayed.
Turkey is known for its kindness to stray animals, and it seems that stray dogs return the favor by helping those in need. Meanwhile, Numan says he will try to help the dog if he can find it.
«The next day, I went to the same place to look for him. People told me they often hang out there. I went back today,» Numan told The Dodo.
«I’ll look until I find it. I’ve always loved animals.»
Even if it was only a fiction, this dog behaved like a hero! I hope the actor finally found the puppy and gave him a new home.
