The Spanish organization Albergue de Animales Dog House published a video showing the unfortunate state in which Barilla, a dog rescued from the streets, was found. In the same video we can see the incredible transformation of this dog that is now very happy.
When Barilla was taken to the shelter in Granada, Spain, she was so thin and malnourished that her bones were showing through her skin and her internal organs were on the verge of failing. But Eduardo Rodriguez, the owner of the shelter, was determined to save her.

«I’ve been rescuing dogs since I was a kid and I’m used to seeing them in bad shape, but I’ve never seen one in such terrifying bad shape as Barilla. She had been without water or food for so long, that when we rescued her, only she could move her head and tail ».
After 7 weeks of treatment, the animal now looks like a completely different dog.
«His recovery from her has been amazing. The vet told us several times that most normal dogs would have died. Now we are inseparable. The first day I saw her I told my colleagues that I was going to stay with her and that’s how it has been.
Barilla at first couldn’t even support herself due to her malnutrition, but everything changed dramatically. In the video you can see the transformation of the dog that can not only stand on all fours of her, but can run and play like any other dog.
The state Barilla was in is surprising, but thanks to these good people, this story has a happy ending.
